Opening times

The aim is to be open 10am to 5pm every day in Summer. 
Winter opening is weekends only,11am to 4pm.
Last entry 30 minutes before closing time.
Underground mine tours are at 1.00pm, capacity is limited so pre-booking is strongly recommended.

The museum takes group bookings for such as school visits which may mean the normal schedule is disrupted.  The museum may open for additional days such as Bank Holidays and school half-term. Check the Museum web-site for the most up to date times.

We are also happy to open in the week or evenings for groups by prior arrangement.
