PDMHS has had a website since at least 1999. Over the ensuing years it's been through several rewrites. The current version, written using WordPress, was first made live in early 2017. In 2025-6, in order to adapt to advances in technology, several months were devoted to refresh rather than rebuild the site. There may be some "rough edges", maybe missing images, typos and slightly corrupted pages. Although it was necessary to make technical tweaks or layout changes to every page most of the actual content is unchanged.

You may find a problem can be fixed by refreshing the screen, that's Function key 5 on a PC or, in your web browser, click the circular arrow symbol (usually top left).

The intention is that you shouldn't notice much difference, the main changes are

• The original WordPress theme is replaced with the much more powerful and versatile DIVI theme (same as is used on the members and museum websites).
• The DIVI theme is the very latest, version 5, a complete rewrite that's been under development for several years. It renders pages faster, provides the designer with granular levels of control and adds new features.
• The menu system didn't work well on Mobile Phones, that has been improved. Ten years ago most internet access was on desktop PCs. The refreshed version handles small-screen devices better. In some places that's achieved by omitting some non-essential content.
• Presentation on wider PC screens is improved too, in 2016 some people had still not migrated from Cathode Ray Tube to flat-screens. Relatively few users had wide screens. The new software should adjust to most users' devices.
• WordPress allows the use of third-party "plugins" to add extra features to the base product. Some of these have been replaced with more versatile and robust alternatives.
